Mumbai: Months after his wedding with cricketer Smriti Mandhana was called off, music composer and filmmaker Palaash Muchhal is all set to resume work following a brief hiatus.
As per reports, Palash is preparing to don the director’s hat. It will be his third directorial, in which actor Shreyas Talpade will feature.
Revealing Palash and Shreyas’ collaboration, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “SHREYAS TALPADE TO STAR IN PALASH MUCHHAL’S NEXT FILM… #ShreyasTalpade will head the cast of director #PalashMuchhal’s upcoming, as-yet-untitled film, stepping into the role of a common man. Set against the backdrop of #Mumbai, filming is expected to commence soon.”

Palaash has directed several music videos featuring actors such as Rashami Desai and Nataša Stanković.
In 2022, he wrote and directed his first film ‘Ardh’, starring Rajpal Yadav and Rubina Dilaik. In 2024, he reunited with Rajpal for ‘Kaam Chalu Hai’.
On the personal front, Palash and Smriti were set to tie the knot last November after dating for five years. Unfortunately, the wedding was called off abruptly after Smriti’s father reportedly suffered from heart attack-like symptoms and was rushed to a hospital.
Rumours about Palash’s alleged affair with his wedding choreographer started circulating and went viral on social media.
Weeks later, Palaash and Smriti issued statements stating that their wedding has been cancelled.
