Puri: The Bada Danda Mahotsav started in Puri on Sunday.
The devotees, who had gone for the darshan of sibling deities, took part in Bhajan and Sankirtan held during the Mahotsav, which will be a weekly event being organised by the Puri administration to maintain the spiritual atmosphere in the Srikhetra.
The Bada Danda (the Grand Road) was decorated with Jhoti and paintings.
There were also performances by Sahijata, Odissi, and Gotipua artistes.
