Bag With Rs 30,000 Stolen From Quarantine Centre In Odisha’s Ganjam Dist

Berhampur: A bag containing Rs 30,000 of an inmate of a qurantine centre was stolen in Ganjam district on Friday.

The person, a migrant labourer of Nuapalli under Chatrapur block, had come from Surat and was accommodated in the quarantine center at Sri Hari Hareswar Panchayat High School, Bhikaripalli on Thursday.

He had kept all his belongings including mobile phone, dress, Aadhaar card and bank pass book besides Rs 30,000 in cash inside the bag and went to sleep. When he woke up on Friday morning, he found the bag missing.

On being informed, Chatrapur police went to the spot and started investigation.
