Puri: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to launch a padyatra from Puri to Bhubaneswar to meet Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to express their opposition to the alleged sale of Bagala Dharmasala land here on Wednesday.
The BJP leaders and workers will start the padyatra from Jagannath temple in the town. They will submit a memorandum and the signatures collected in the campaign against the alleged sale of Dharmasala land to the chief minister at the latter’s residence.
Last month, BJP spokesman Sambit Patra had filed a petition in the Orissa High Court seeking restoration of the Bagala Dharmasala land to Lord Jagannath’s ownership.
