Puri: Public darshan of Lord Jagannath and siblings at Adapa Mandap of Gundicha Temple in Puri will be suspended after 5 pm on Sunday to enable the authorities to make arrangements for Bahuda Yatra to be held on Monday.
Officials said that the important Sandhya Darsan of the deities on Adapa Mandap will be held on Sunday and the devotees will be able to have a glimpse of the Lords till 5 pm.
Public darshan of the sibling deities at Gundicha temple will be suspended from 5 pm on July 14 for completion of necessary preparations for Bahuda Yatra, Puri Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain told reporters on Saturday.
While a large crowd is expected during Sandhya Darshan, the district administration is ready to ensure smooth conduct of the ritual, he said. “All arrangements have been made for effective crowd management and smooth darshan of the deities,” he said.
Notably, preparations have started for the Bahuda Yatra of the Lords to be held on July 15.
