Bhubaneswar: After PV Sindhu’s praise, the official Twitter handle of the Badminton Association of India (BAI) too showered accolade on sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik for his artwork on Puri sea beach following the shuttler’s bronze medal-winning feat at the Tokyo Olympics.
The current world champion is only the second Indian and the country’s first woman to win two Olympic medals. She got the bronze on Sunday after a straight-game win over world no. 9 He Bing Jiao of China in the badminton women’s singles third-place play-off.
To celebrate Sidhu’s victory, Sudarsan had created a beautiful sand art and wrote, “You have made the whole country proud by your spectacular performance”.
