Bhubaneswar: Baibhav Karan was conferred with Dr Bansidhar Panda Gold Medal at the recently concluded 18th Annual Convocation of NIT-Rourkela.
He received the award as the institute’s best student in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.
Notably, Dr Bansidhar Pandaa was the President of the Management Committee of NIT.
In November 2019, Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA) had signed an MoU with NIT-Rourkela to institute a Gold Medal in memory of its founder, who passed away in 2018.
IMFA Managing Director Subhrakanta Panda congratulated Baibhav Karan on this achievement.
