Bhubaneswar: The Medical Council of India (MCI) on Saturday granted Letter of Permission (LOP) for starting admissions at Balasore & Balangir Medical Colleges from the year 2018-19.
The new medical colleges will fulfil the advanced healthcare needs of the people in the region & also boost professional manpower in the state.
The MCI has also granted permission for 100 seats each in second year at Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital, Baripada and Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital in Koraput along with 250 seats each at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack and Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati (MKCG) Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur in Ganjam district.
Two super speciality seats in DM (Endocrinology) at MKCG have been increased for the year 2018-19.
