Balasore: As many as 30 new COVID-19 cases were reported from Balasore on Thursday, taking the district’s tally to 496.
Among 30 positive cases, 25 are local contacts while five have been detected from quarantine centres.
Out of five positive cases from quarantine centres, two each are returnees from Karnataka and Tamil Nadu while one is an Andhra Pradesh returnee.
Among the 25 local cases, 11 are from containment zones while eight are close contacts of positive patients. Contact tracing is on which will throw up more details.
At present, the Balasore district has 148 active coronavirus cases with 346 recoveries.
