Balasore: Bringing glory to the state, Balasore girl Anuska Ray was awarded at the International Space Science Conference (ISSC) at Orlando, USA recently.
Anuska is the daughter of a DRDO scientist Arun Kumar Ray and Assistant General Manager of Nesco Utility, Malancha Ghose.
A Class IX student of St Vincent’s Convent School at Balasore, Anuska was among 13 students of the school who got the opportunity to visit NASA’s Kennedy Space Research Centre and participate in ISSC.
After getting a three-day long training at the Kennedy Space Centre, they participated in the competition and Anuska was in the first position.
NASA astronaut Winston Scott in the presence of Executive Director of Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) Nathaniel Miller presented the award.
FIT will sponsor Anuska’s entire higher education.
Online tutoring group Go4Guru in collaboration with AMF Centre for Space Education NASA and FIT conducted the selection process.
