Sambalpur: Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday arrested Bamara Tehsil office head clerk Prakash Chandra Singh on charges of accepting a bribe amount of Rs 2,000 to process land registration documents.
According to available information, Singh was caught red-handed by the anti-corruption officials while accepting Rs 2,000 from one Suresh Basisth.
On Tuesday, Public Works Department Junior Engineer Dillip Sahu was arrested by vigilance for allegedly demanding and accepting bribe to the tune of Rs 15,000 from a contractor at Padampur in Bargarh district for construction of a culvert at Diptipur village in the district.
