Sundargarh: Normal life was hit in Bonai on Thursday following a 12-hour dawn-to-dusk bandh call given by the Action Committee demanding district status to Bonai sub-division.
All trading establishments, educational institutions, government offices and banks remained closed while transportation of goods was disrupted due to road blockade by agitators on the National Highway and other areas of the sub-division.
The bandh is supported by several political parties, civil societies and NGOs.
