Dhenkanal: Life came to a standstill in Odisha’s Dhenkanal town following a 12-hour down-to-dusk bandh call by Nagarik Kriyanusthan Committee, demanding a city hospital on the premises of the old hospital at Bazi Chowk.
While all business establishments and educational institutions in the town remained closed, vehicular traffic came to a grinding halt due to the picketing by the agitators at several places.
The bandh is being supported by several civil societies, lawyers’ association and the district journalists’ association.
