Balangir: Members of Koshal Coordination Committee on Sunday announced that they will observe a 12-hour shutdown in Balangir and Sonepur districts on November 24.
In a meeting organised by the committee at MB Dharmasala in Balangir district, Koshal Kranti Dal Head Pramod Kumar Mishra said, “Vehicles will stay off the road while commercial establishments, educational institutional and offices will remain closed in both the districts during the bandh.”
“We have been requesting the state government for Koshal State, comprising ten districts of western Odisha and Athamallick sub-division of Angul district, since 2007, but in vain. This prompted our decision to hold a massive agitation to put pressure on the government,” he added.
