Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) of Crime Branch on Thursday arrested a youth for his alleged involvement in a sex racket in the Odisha capital.
He has been identified as Prasant Kumar Pradhan alias Bulu, a resident of Gothapatna in Khurda.
He was nabbed while attempting to hand over two women to customers at Baramunda bus stand here.
Besides rescuing the two women, police seized a Bullet motorcycle and other incriminating materials from his possession.
Prashant was allegedly working as a broker for Panchannan Padhi, his wife Preeti Padhi and Keshab Sahoo, who were earlier arrested for their complicity in the racket.
The trio were major brokers of the sex racket, which was run by Ibrahim and Anjali whom the STF had arrested from Danagohiri in Pipli on January 21.
Six persons have so far been arrested in this case and 11 victims rescued from the clutches of the traffickers. Among the victims, six were from Bangladesh, sources said.
