Bhubaneswar: The Nandankanan Police have begun a probe into the burglary in the house of an apartment at Raghunathpur in Bhubaneswar.
According to the complaint lodged by Pushkar Thakur, a senior bank official, he along with his family had gone to his native place for a week. On their return, they found three locks of the front door of the house broken.
The banker said that the miscreants had decamped with cash of around Rs 2 lakh, gold ornaments weighing around 100 grams and some foreign currencies.
While the security guard of the apartment pleaded ignorance about the burglary, police said the CCTV cameras of the apartment are lying defunct.
