Keonjhar: Bansapal block development officer (BDO) Ashwini Meher was seriously injured in a road accident on National Highway-20 near Poijamula in Keonjhar district on Thursday.
Meher was rescued by some local residents and admitted to Anandpur hospital. His condition is stated to be critical.
Meher’s driver also suffered injuries in the accident.
According to available information, the mishap took place when the SUV in which the BDO was travelling hit a speeding truck from behind.
