Bhubaneswar: Police on Friday recovered body of a bar dancer from a closed room at Shiva Shakti Nagar under Pahala police limits, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.
Sources identified the deceased as Charu Malhotra, a native of Chandigarh. She was working at a bar on Cuttack road. Another 25 girls were also staying in the building from where she was found hanging.
Pahala police have begun a probe by registering a case of unnatural death. Prima facie it looked like a case of suicide. Her mobile phone records and messages on social media are also being examined for any clue behind her death, the sources added.
