Cuttack: International cricket is set to return to Barabati Stadium at Cuttack in Odisha in 2025 with BCCI including it in Team India’s home season schedule.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) On Thursday announced Team India’s 2024-25 home season schedule including a series against Bangladesh, New Zealand and England.
As per the schedule, the second One-Day International (ODI) match between India and England will be played at Barabati Stadium on February 9 (Sunday), 2025.
The stadium had last hosted an ODI match between India and West Indies on December 22, 2019. The Indian team has won eight out of the last 10 ODIs played at Barabati.
The season will kick off on September 19 with a two-match Test series against Bangladesh, followed by three T20Is.
New Zealand, who last toured India for bilateral series in 2021, will play a three-match Test series starting on October 16, extending into the first week of November. Then India will head to Australia for a five-match Test series.
In January and February 2025, India will play their first home series of the year against England. The series will feature five T20Is and three ODIs, following England’s five-Test series in India earlier this year.
