Cuttack: Come December and Barabati Stadium here will reverberate to the chanting of ‘India, India’. The date is December 22 and the cricket teams – India and West Indies.
According to full home schedule announced by BCCI, the Cuttack stadium will host the third ODI as the teams will clash in three T20I and as many 50-over games.
The Windies’ tour of India will begin on December 6. While the T20s will be played in Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram (December 8) and Hyderabad (December 11), the ODIs will be held in Chennai (December 15) and Vizag (December 18,) and Cuttack (December 28).
A total of five Tests, nine ODIs and 12 T20s will be played during the home season, starting September 15 against the South Africa. The teams will play three T20s and as many Tests and the series will conclude on October 23.
India will then clash with Bangladesh in three T20s and two Test matches.
The Test matches against South African and Bangladesh will be part of the inaugural World Test Championship that begins after the World Cup.
After the Windies in December, Zimbabwe will tour India for three T20s from January 5 to 10. After a gap of four days will begin the three-ODI series in which India will play Australia. The home season with end with South Africa again visiting India for three ODIs in March.
