Bhubaneswar: The Kalinga Foundation Trust (KFT), a leading Odisha-based organization dedicated to the cause of dissemination of knowledge in science, on Wednesday donated Rs 5 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to fight the coronavirus.
KFT Chairman and noted freedom fighter Bhabani Charan Patnaik and treasurer Bimal Das sent a cheque payable to CMRF. Minister Prafulla Samal is managing trustee of KFT.
Former Odisha Chief Minister Biju Patnaik in 1959 founded KFT, which funded the prestigious Kalinga Prize given by UNESCO for popularization of science.
