Bhubaneswar: The Barabati Stadium in Odisha’s Cuttack has failed to make it to the list of venues announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the home season 2023-24.
The BCCI’s Tours, Fixtures and Technical Committee on Tuesday confirmed the venues for the home season. As per the schedule, the Senior Men’s team will play 16 international matches comprising 5 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 8 T20Is.
The home season will begin with India three-match ODI series between India and Australia ahead of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. The ODI series will be played in Mohali, Indore, and Rajkot.
After the World Cup, India will play a five-match T20I series against Australia, beginning on November 23 at Vizag and concluding on December 3 at Hyderabad.
Afghanistan will also play three-match T20I series against India in their maiden white-ball bilateral tour. The matches will be played in Mohali, Indore and Bengaluru.
The Test season will begin with India hosting England for a five-match series starting on January 25 next year. The Test matches will be played at Hyderabad, Vizag, Rajkot, Ranchi, and Dharamsala.
