Bhubaneswar: Scores of Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD) activists took out a motorcycle rally from College Square in Cuttack to Bhubaneswar to protest against the arrest of Cuttack-Choudwar MLA Pravat Biswal’s arrest.
The rally by the party activists accompanied by supporters of the legislator converged at the CBI office in the state capital, where they staged a mass demonstration.
A similar protest was also held by a group of BJD workers before the CBI office the previous day.
Meanwhile, the BJD MLA, whom the CBI took on five-day remand on Tuesday, was quizzed by the central investigating agency officials in connection with the land deal with Seashore Group of Companies.
