Bhubaneswar: With the new-age homebuyers giving more focus on healthy lifestyle post COVID-19 pandemic, the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) has directed the architects and engineers to take note of it while executing BDA’s three housing projects in the city.
Reviewing the progress of BDA’s projects at Kharavela Complex (K9A) and Daya Enclave (K9B) in Kalinga Nagar and Ekamra Enclave at Subudhipur during a visit on Saturday, Sanjay Kumar Singh, vice-chairman, BDA said besides normal and basic amenities, the architects and engineers must ensure that every home buyer gets a safer indoor environment, especially children and senior citizens.
Singh verified the status of the projects, including construction quality, pace of the construction and available amenities. He asked the officials of the constriction company and engineers of the BDA to ensure that the good construction quality is maintained and the work completed within the deadline.
He also stressed on providing open space such as children play area, walking tracks, community hall and club house besides wide corridors to maintain social distancing, recreational and wellness centres and dedicated study space for working from home.
LP Mohapatra, Superintending Engineer, Division-II of BDA, said special attention was being given to ensure that homebuyers get ‘protection and comfort’ that come with intelligent breathable architecture in well-connected locations in the city.
