Nuapada: Days after entering the District Soil Conservation Office in Nuapada, a bear strayed into the premises of Collector Swadha Dev Singh’s official residence here on Wednesday morning.
The employees panicked at the sight of the bear.
On being informed, a Forest Department team rushed to the spot and started an operation to rescue the animal. It had taken them almost 24 hours to shoo the bear away from the District Soil Conservation Office. The bear is suspected to have entered the residence of the collector from the nearby forest in search of food.
Notably, a bear had entered the Collector’s residence earlier during the tenure of V Jaya Kumar.
