Nabarangpur: Wild bears were spotted in the Badadebata temple campus at Sindhiguda village under Nandahandi block in Nabarangpur district.
Villagers said the bears most often come to the temple for taking coconuts offered to the deity by the devotees. They said though this a regular sight, they fear that the bears might become violent on not finding food.
There have been less number of visitors to the temple during the lockdown time.
They have urged the forest officials to frisk away the animals into the wild for the safety of locals.
