Pune: England all-rounder Ben Stokes made an interesting revelation ahead of the second ODI against India. He and his England teammates use women’s deodorants before stepping on the field to play matches.
Asked about the reason, Stokes said it smells better than men’s deodorants, CricTracker reported.
“It smells better. The pomegranate one — it’s top drawer,” Stokes said during a radio show on talkSPORT.
“I’m not the only one,” he added.
Pushed for names by the show hosts, Stokes said, “The whole squad.”
Stokes, one of England’s best cricketers in the last four-five years, played his first One-Day International after a year and a half, in the opening match of the ongoing series against India. He also featured in the preceding Test and T20 International series.
With temperatures soaring in India, England cricketers have been struggling on the field and sweating a lot. Female deodorants have given them a way to combat it.
