Bhubaneswar: People of Odisha who have been affected by natural calamities will soon be getting houses under the Antodaya Gruha Yojana scheme.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Minister Rabi Narayan Naik said that those who have lost houses in cyclone, fire, or flood will be eligible for new houses under the scheme.
Besides, whose houses have been destroyed by elephants will also be counted as eligible beneficiaries under Antodaya Gruha Yojana, said Naik.
The newly introduced initiative promises to offer durable homes at no cost to families with lower incomes, ensuring that those previously unable to benefit from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) now have a chance to secure a permanent residence.
