Bengaluru Hit-And-Run: Speeding Car Crashes Into Bikes, 3 Suffer Injuries [Watch]

Bengaluru: A speeding SUV rammed into two bikes and hit other vehicles near the Kalena Agrahara locality of south Bengaluru on Monday.

Both bike riders and another person sustained injuries, police said.

The injured were identified as Kiran, Jasmitha and Basanth.

Video footage of the scary incident, which has been verified by police, shows the car hitting the bike and throwing the driver and pillion rider to the road in front of a car.

The driver of the SUV hurtles towards the right and hits other cars. Onlookers and passers-by are seen rushing towards the spot to check the impact of the vehicle and calling for help. Sensing danger, the driver fled the scene.

“The incident took place near the Kalena Agrahara residential locality after the car driver identified as Abhishek Agarwal lost control of the vehicle and rammed into the two bike-borne riders in the south of Bengaluru. The incident was caught on the dash cam of the car,” Hulimavu Traffic Police said.

“Kiran, who was on a bike, fell down after the accident. Jasmitha and Basanth Kumar, who were on the other bike, were also injured after the car rammed into them,” police added.

A case has been registered against the car driver at Hulimavu Traffic police station.
