Bhubaneswar: Striker Dipanda Dicka scored a brace as Mohun Bagan bettered Churchill Brothers 2-1 to advance to the quarterfinals in Super Cup football tournament in Kalinga Stadium on Sunday.
Churchill Brothers got the lead in the 30th minute, which was equalised by Dicka at the stroke of halftime. He scored the winner in the 70th minute as his team booked the quarterfinal berth.
In the first match of the day between Bengaluru FC and Gokulam Kerala, Udanta Singh’s goal in the stoppage time ensured Bengaluru a quarterfinal berth. Gokulam Kerala FC took the lead in the 33rd minute, after Henry Kisseka scored a goal. Miku for Bengaluru scored the equaliser in the 70th minute before Udanta Singh hammered he final one in the (90+5) minute, with a few seconds left for the match.
