Berhampur: On the eve of ‘Janmastami’ on Monday, Satya Narayan Maharana, an artist of miniature artifacts, has broken his previous record of smallest wood statue of Lord Krishna.
Satya had carved a statue of Lord Krishna in wood with a height of 3.2 cm and won a place in ‘Asia Book of Records’ and ‘India Book of Records’ earlier.
This time, he has carved two statues of the Lord. While one statue has the height of 1 cm and width 1.5 cm, the other one is of 2 cm in height and 1.4 cm in width. Satya claims that these are smallest wood idols of Lord Krishna in the world.
The 36-year-old artist belonging to Berhampur has set 25 international and national records for creating smallest artifacts in different mediums.
Dedicating his creations to the artistic world, Satya hoped that Lord Krishna will free the mankind of the COVID pandemic.
