Berhampur: Miniature craftsman Satya Maharana of the city on Friday broke his own world record in making smallest idol of Goddess Kali in chalk which he created three years ago.
Satya set the record of ‘World Record Setter’ for carving the smallest 2.2 cm height idol of Goddess Kali in 2017. Now he claims to have broke his record by carving a 5 mm height idol of Goddess Kali in yellow colour chalk.
“I have also carved another two idols of Goddess Kali in blue colour chalk with a height of 1.5 cm and 2 cm. Another idol of Goddess Kali in teak wood of a height of 1.8 cm, an idol in stone of the Goddess of a height of 1 cm and an idol in soil of 2.5 inches,” said 36-year-old Satya.
Satya, who was recognised for setting world records by Universal Achievers and Future Kalam’s Book of Records by carving Ganesh idol of a height of 1.9 inches in 2019, broke his own record by carving two Ganesh idols of 6 mm and 1 cm height after one year.
