Berhampur: The Silk City of Odisha is all set to welcome New Year with a two-day International film festival on Ganjam Kala Parishad premises.
S international award and Oscar winning films will be screened at the festival being organized by Lakshya outfit.
“This festival will showcase feature films as well as short and documentary films made by filmmakers of the region,” president of Lakshya, Manoj Samal, was quoted by media as saying.
Furthermore, the festival is driven with a gusto to inculcate filmmaking values among the youths and students of Ganjam district and will set the stage for a film laboratory and studio in Berhampur.
Besides international films, short films like Satish Patra’s ‘Udayapur’, ‘Tirthakhetra’, Tripati Nayak’s ‘Achhung’, Golak Tripathy’s ‘Babu Bathroom re Achhanti’, Kumud Prasad Acharya’s ‘Sampark’ and Amulya Ranjan Sahu’s ‘Interview’ will also be exhibited at the festival.
