Malkangiri: Plastic eggs are allegedly being sold in Odisha’s Malkangiri district.
According to sources, Digambar Behera of Hi-Tech Colony here bought four eggs from a shop near his house. After breaking the eggs he found a layer of plastic inside it.
He also found the yolk to be elastic in nature.
The shape of the eggs was also round, he alleged.
The shopkeeper said that he had purchased the eggs from a wholesaler.
As the news spread, people panicked as the eggs are provided to the school children in the midday meal.
