Bhadrak: A lawyer was attacked in broad daylight near a showroom at Chhapulia, Bhadrak, on Friday.
Sources said that two youths attacked Bibekananda Mohanty with a sharp weapon when he was on his way in a bike. The accused persons have been identified as Subash Mohapatra and Jatin Nayak.
Mohanty was rushed to a local hospital in a critical condition. A case in this regard has been registered at the Bhadrak Town Police Station.
Though the exact motive behind the attack is yet to be ascertained, past enmity is suspected. Investigations are on.
