Puri: Beautiful Artwork! This is how Bhaichung Bhutia, the torchbearer of Indian football in the international arena, described the sand art by Sudarsan Pattnaik.
The internationally-acclaimed sand artist from Odisha, has sculpted a football and FIFA World Cup on Puri sea beach to wish all the teams for the football’s biggest event, which begins on Thursday.
Sudarsan and his team used six ton of sand to create the mesmerizing sand art.
Wishing the teams, he tweeted, “My SandArt on #FifaWorldCup2018 with message “Ball for peace and Friendship” at Puri beach in #Odisha, India. Good Luck! to all teams for #WorldCup.”
A total of 32 teams are vying for the Holy Grail of world football. Host Russia will begin the campaign and take on Saudi Arabia in the opener.
