Bhakta Nivas In Puri To Offer Low-Cost Stay For General Tourists

Puri: In order promote tourism and ensure convenience of the tourists, the district administration has planned to provide low-cost stay for the general tourists in Puri town.

Speaking to the mediapersons on Saturday, chief administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Krishan Kumar said the district administration has identified 9-10 acre of land near the Baseli Sahi police station for construction of a Bhakta Nivas.

The Nivas will have facility to accommodate 3000-4000 beds for the tourists who cannot afford staying in costly hotels.

“The proposed Bhakta Nivas will charge maximum Rs 100-150 per bed for each tourist per day,” he said. It aims at enabling the visitors to stay for a longer period that will earn revenue for the Pilgrim Town.
