Khurda: The Akshaya Patra Foundation will not be able to supply midday meal to all primary schools in Khurda district during the Bharat Bandh on Wednesday.
The Foundation, in a letter to the District Education Officer (DEO), Khurda, on Tuesday has expressed its inability to supply midday meal to all primary schools in the district as vehicles will stay off the road during the nationwide strike.
A non-profit organisation feeding millions of underserved children in India, Akshaya Patra Foundation had set up in branch in Odisha in June 2006. The Foundation has set up four kitchens in Puri, Nayagarh, Nayagarh and Bhubaneswar and supplies midday meal to 1,66,189 children of 1980 schools.
