Bengaluru: The 10-hour Bharat Bandh on Monday, called by farmers unions, saw normal life being affected in some parts of the country.
In a shocking incident in Bengaluru, a protester driving an SUV allegedly ran over the foot of Deputy Commissioner of Police (North Division) Dharmender Kumar Meena on Monday.
The man had broken a cordon set up by the police because of the Bharat Bandh called by some farmer unions, timesnownews.com reported. As Meena tried to stop the vehicle, the protester was trying to evade cops and the wheel of his car went over the senior police officer’s foot.
The DCP, who sustained injuries, was rushed to a hospital. The protester has been arrested.
