While all schools will remain closed in the districts of Balasore, Puri, Khurda, Mayurbhanj, Jagatsinghpur, Sambalpur, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Balangir, Bargarh, Boudh, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Angul and Gajapati, all educational institutions in Puri, Gajapati and Khurda districts will remain closed on Wednesday.
In view of the two-day nationwide strike called by central trade unions from Tuesday, the state government on Monday announced the closure of all schools, colleges and universities.
The state government, in a notification, had said that it will take a decision on Tuesday on the closure of the educational institutions on Wednesday. It had directed the School and Mass Education and the Higher Education departments to direct the district collectors to take a decision after taking stock of the effect of the bandh in their respective district
