New Delhi: The Centre has granted approval for the commercial exports of Bharat Biotech-manufactured COVID vaccine, Covaxin, in light of adequate stocks of the vaccine available with the states, reported News18.
According to the website’s sources, the Hyderabad-based vaccine manufacturer will export 108 lakh Covaxin doses commercially. Officials in the know of the development, however, said the Centre will decide on the quantity of vaccines to be exported based on domestic availability each month.
Covaxin is likely to be exported to eight countries — Paraguay, Botswana, Vietnam, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Cameroon and the UAE.
