Bhubaneswar: Bharat Raksha Manch on Saturday staged a protest against the Chinese incursion and attack on Indian soldiers, at the Station Square, here.
Raising slogans of “Bharat Mata ki jai, Vande Mataram”, the members of the Manch condemned the barbaric attack by the Chinese Army. They also carried banners that read, “We support the Indian Army, Boycott Chinese Goods, Stop exports to China”.
State president of the Manch, Dr Ashok Acharya said time has come for effective measures to boycott Chinese imports. Stating that it was farcical to speak of self-reliance, while exporting raw materials to China, he said at present, Paradip Port Trust’s Traffic Report shows that out of 25 ships in the berths and anchorage, 20 ships are taking iron ore to China.
Advocate Sanghamitra Rajguru called for steps for promoting local industries. All Chinese Apps should be banned and no Chinese should be allowed to come to India, she added.
Stating that there should be a people’s movement against China, state general secretary of the Manch Pradeep Kumar Tripathy said awareness campaigns should be launched to boycott all Chinese products.
National secretary of the Manch Anil Dhir said the RBI should withdraw the licence to the Bank of China and India should pull China out of the Most Favored Nation status.
