Mumbai: Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh has lodged a police complaint following threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang over his association with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Dixit Gedam said on Monday that a complaint has been received by Oshiwara police, and appropriate action will be taken after an inquiry.
The complaint was filed
by Pawan’s manager, who alleged that she has been receiving threat calls from an unknown person, claiming to be associated with the Bishnoi gang.
She further claimed that the miscreant told her Pawan should not work or share screen with Salman, or else he would have to face severe consequences.
The actor’s manager has sought police protection, an official said.
Another member of Pawan’s team was getting similar calls, and the miscreant has been demanding money, the official added.
Pawan was one of the contestants in the Salman-hosted reality show ‘Bigg Boss.’
Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi is in Gujarat’s Sabarmati Jail in connection with a drugs case.
The feud between Bishnoi and Salman began after the infamous blackbuck poaching case in 1998.
