Varanasi: An assistant professor of Visual Arts at Banaras Hindu University, Amresh Kumar, has stoked a controversy by superimposing the pictures of his and his wife on a painting of Lord Shri Ram.
The painting was put up for display at the exhibition of visual arts organised at the varsity.
Students have accused Amresh Kumar of inciting religious sentiments and threatened to start a protest if no action was taken against him at the earliest.
While the BHU administration has remained mum on the controversy, the assistant professor said that this is not a big deal, because Ram belongs to everyone, the IANS reported.
