Bhubaneswar-Based NGO Donates Oxygen Concentrators To Help Police Fight COVID

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has begun preparations to tackle a possible third wave of COVID pandemic.

To strengthen this effort, a Bhubaneswar-based NGO, the Odisha Rising Foundation (ORF), has donated three oxygen concentrators (OCs) to the DCP, Bhubaneswar, on Tuesday.

To strengthen the healthcare facilities at the community level, the ORF has already distributed 220 OCs of 10 LPM capacities across 20 districts of Odisha. Among them, 51 OCs have been donated to police hospitals in 12 districts.

“We have donated the OCs, especially to the Community Health Centres and Public Health Sectors. We are now planning to help the Police department,” said ORF Co-founder and COO Raj Laxmi Dash.

Notably, the ORF is working across all 30 districts of Odisha, providing COVID relief and support to underprivileged communities.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, the NOG along with its volunteers has also been serving the poor with cooked food, rations, medicines and providing health gear to the frontline workers.

The ORF has already impacted more than 5,000 families of Odisha in distress.

“We had also donated two-month ration to tribals at Bonda hill in Malkangiri district,” Dash added.
