Bhubaneswar: The homepage of city-based Kamala Nehru Women’s College was hacked on Sunday evening and the site redirected to a pornographic site.
The homepage displayed the content ‘Hacked By Dik4h4nZ’ and ‘Security Attack!!!’ at the bottom. The site redirected to a website, showing explicit content in various languages, on clicking.
The college authorities immediately took the site down. It has been restored now.
“Action was taken immediately following news about the website being hacked circulated on social media. I came to know about the hacking last evening and informed the police about it. A written complaint will be lodged at the Capital Police Station,” informed Principal of the college Pradipta Kumar Mishra.
“We will also register a formal complaint with the Cyber police station in this regard,” he added.
According to sources, the site had developed technical problems earlier, but it was still maintained by the same private vendor.
The websites of Utkal University and BPUT have also been hacked more than once in the past.
