Bhubaneswar: Unscrupulous brokers in the city are now taking the digital route to lure people to buy government land.
According to sources, two brokers, one hailing from Salia Sahi and another from a slum in Chandrasekharpur area, posted an advertisement on the OLX portal for the sale of a government land near the Loyola School playground.
As per the advertisement, the price mentioned was Rs 1.10 lakh per gunth or Rs 1,000 per square feet.
The two brokers didn’t mention their names, but provided their mobile phone numbers and requested people to visit the site.
In another advertisement, a land broker, who claimed to be a close associate of an influential person, invited people to purchase a portion of government land near Kanyashram in Niladri Vihar area at Rs 1,000 per square feet.
