Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday caught a clerk, working in the office of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), red-handed while allegedly accepting Rs 20,000 bribe.
He has been identified as Sudhanshu Majhi.
According to sources, Majhi had demanded Rs 20,000 from one Prashanta Kumar Ray of Rasulgarh here in connection with the release of EMD and security deposit of a work done by the latter in 2018.
Following which, Ray lodged a complaint with the anti-corruption wing following which a trap was laid.
The bribe money was seized in presence of witnesses, the sources added.
