Bhubaneswar Continues To Sizzle At 40 Degree Celsius

Bhubaneswar: The Capital City continued to sizzle for third consecutive day as the day temperature remained around 40 degree Celsius.

A mid-day bulletin of the regional centre of India Meteorological Department stated that besides Bhubaneswar, Malkangiri, Nayagarh and Boudh recorded maximum temperature of 40 degree Celsius. The lowest minimum temperature of 18 degree was recorded in Phulbani.

Bhubaneswar had recorded 40 and 40.4 degree on Friday and Thursday respectively.

The other hot spots of the state included Balangir with 39.7 degree Celsius, Sambalpur, Talcher, Titlagarh and Sonepur with 39.5 degree and Angul and Hirakud with 39.1 degree.

The Met office has stated that since there is no major weather activity, the temperature is likely to remain unchanged for next 3-4 days. However, it has forecast that maximum temperature is likely to be above normal by 3-4 degrees at many places.
