Bhubaneswar: Police unearthed a fake oil manufacturing unit at Laxmisagar here and arrested three persons including a priest of a temple on Tuesday.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided a house in the Housing Board Colony and seized hundreds of packaged oil and ghee, 50-60 oil tins and empty bottles.
Police said the unit was involved in manufacturing adulterated castor oil, til oil and ghee from refined oil and selling them in the market under different brand names.
Police were interrogating the three arrested persons for more details. They will be forwarded to the court later in the day.
Recently, Cuttack police had raided a fake oil manufacturing unit at Bamphakuda in Phulanakhara area and seized several cartons of oil.
